This is my own description of how this document arrive to me, may call it the Ati
and Mindhiva documentary:
Since seventeen, I have been working in many art fields. Worked as painter, conservator of easel, mural, fresco and paintings; conservator of wood sculpture, wood artifacts and altarpieces; designer of furniture, art director for tv series, and art director and production designer for movies. All of it between France, Italy and Colombia. Besides, I am a co-founder of projects to protect and create employment to the artisans women in Colombia.
Two years ago, Ati and Mindhiva came to me guided by a common friend. They asked her to help them to achieve their dreams. I could not find a way to do it, but I was really impress by them. I tried to make aware the media press about these two woman, but I never had an answer.
So, I obtained the permission from Ati, Mindhiva and their relatives to record them with a small HD camera. I wanted to relate their story in order to create a support for the Arhuaca women of the Sierra who want to get a higher level of education with the purpose to contribute with their people, to preserve their culture and walk in a new path.
