It’s Mexico 2008, the peak of the violence in the drug war lead- ed by the government against drug cartels has brought as consequence the reorganising in the structures within Cartels, and the openly declared war against their rivals has taken, as of today’s “official count”, more than 80 thousand lives.Alberto, a teenager, ends up driving for a group of Sicarios from the Zeta Cartel in Mexico, transporting a mysterious cargo.
In the journey of one night he will touch the depths of the violence that permeates contemporary Mexico and inevitably become part of the Cartel.
DIRECTOR BIOGRAPHICAL NOTE:
Rodrigo Cervantes was born and raised in Mexico City and is now based in London, UK.
At the age of 13 he moved to the U.S. where he attended high school, at 18 he was assistant photographer working in Buenos Aires, travelling through South America in his free time.
He attended University in Mexico City, graduating with a BA in Media and Communications with a specialization in filmmaking with his first short film “Solo Para Tuba”
For almost 4 years he worked in films, commercials and music videos as a freelance 2nd AD, soon becoming a 1st AD and by the time he started directing his first commercials and music videos he decided to continue his studies in The London Film School, where he graduated in 2013.
