INTERVAL is set in a world in ruins, an aftermath of the earthquake, which struck northwestern Turkey in 1999 with a magnitude of 7.5 at 3:02am. It tells the story of a nameless man who is haunted by the earthquake. As he tries to escape from his past; he also searches for someone he has lost long ago.
DIRECTOR BIOGRAPHICAL NOTE:
Hüseyin Mert Erverdi was born on November 16, 1980 in Istanbul. Erverdi directed several films which were screened and awarded in many national and international film festivals. He is first and foremost a filmmaker; however he is also a researcher, doing academic research in the area of cinema and media studies. In 2011 Erverdi graduated from Istanbul Bilgi University Film and Television Department with an M.A. degree. He is currently working on his Ph.D. in Cinema and Media Studies at Bahcesehir University.
