Eddy has decided to make a video for his autistic son, midway between portrait and manual of life. For this he takes in hostage Nicolas, a French vacationer. An unlikely friendship will arise between Eddy and " the Frenchie" during their journey through Canada.
DIRECTOR BIOGRAPHICAL NOTE:
François Valla begins to explore the cinematographic language at Les Beaux Arts. His work, prolific and heterogeneous, goes from drawing to video, including photography. He exhibits his work in Paris, Seoul, Geneva… Meanwhile he makes his first musical short film, “AFX”, screened at the George Pompidou Center. Having a passion for music he turns to the making of video-clips, making about 15 of them. He was singled out in particular for the Kaolin video-clip “Pour le peu”, and for “If everybody in the world” by Stylophonics. In 2010 he makes a 28-minute-long short film – in collaboration with Laurent Bébin – awarded in Clermont-Ferrand in 2010. In 2012 he completes another short film shot in Canada/ “Beausejour” (22 minutes).At the same time he develops several feature film projects: “Untill dawn” (for the international market) as well as “Brian’s skin”, and works on a documentary project on a community of namesakes: “Dennisparker Inc”.
