STORY DESCRIPTION:

Ogni weekend nel famoso Parco delle Persone di Shanghai, i genitori affiggono manifesti per combinare matrimoni ai figli non sposati. Questa è la storia di una madre troppo ambiziosa che cerca di trovar moglie al figlio; ma quando è in gioco l’amore vero, a volte anche i piani migliori hanno uno strano modo di fallire.

Every weekend in Shanghai's famous Peoples' Park, parents hang posters to match-make their unwed children. This is the story of an overly ambitious mother trying too hard to find the perfect wife for her son. But, when true love is at stake, sometimes even the best-laid plans have a funny way of coming undone.

DIRECTOR BIOGRAPHICAL NOTE:

Craig Rosenthal ha scritto è diretto due cortometraggi. “The Trainee” (2006) a Singapore e “Shanghai Love Market” (2011) in Cina. Questi pluripremiati corti sono stati veri successi in film festival di tutto il mondo. Attualmente Craig è concentrato sullo sviluppo di storie che riguardano l’Asia: un film su cui sta lavorando è infatti “The Shanghailanders”.

Craig Rosenthal has written and directed two short films. “The Trainee” (2006) in Singapore and “Shanghai Love Market” (2011) in China. These award-winning short film were hits at film festivals worldwide and were later sold to distributors. Currently he is focused on developing features that tell Asian stories. One film under development is a drama called “The Shanghailanders”.
