STORY DESCRIPTION:

Ben Kfir is a bereaved father from Ashkelon, Israel. His daughter Yael died in 2003 at the age of 21, during a suicide bombing attack next to her military base. Yael served in the role of an officer during her time in the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) and was murdered while waiting for a bus on her way home. Ben was a right wing man who was against discussions with the Palestinian side. Yael's death greatly affected his life.Siham Abu Awwad is a bereaved sister from Beit Ummar in the Palestinian territory. She lost her brother Yussuf in 2000 as he was killed by an IDF soldier, at the age of 32, trying to cross a check point. Siham was a political activist with Fatah, Palestinian terrorist organization, all her life. Ever since Yussuf's death she decided to change her way of thinking and is an advocate for an open dialogue with Israelis. The two characters, Siham and Ben, suffered a lose of a loved one to the Israeli – Palestinian conflict. The two individuals, of two nations and cultures, turned to the feelings of revenge as their way of mourning. The director has met with both of them and heard of their personal grieve experience, each from their own point of view. Ultimately both came to the realization that revenge is not the solution and that there is a great need for reconciliation.
