In an era out of time, a small rural region of an unknown country is the scene of a bloody purge orchestrated by a charismatic leader, a purge which claims the lives of a great many young people. In a farmhouse of this devastated region, a young man awakens with no memory of the past. An old woman sits at his bedside and nurses him back to health. She reveals to him that he is the sole survivor of the “Great Bloodletting”. From then on, a strange relationship grows between this taciturn old woman and this man with no past.

Anh Minh Truong is a Canadian director of narrative fiction films, commercials, music videos and TV shows. For the past 10 years, he got recognition from his short and medium-length films, which have screened in numerous national and international film festivals (Short Film Corner Cannes, Worldfest Houston, Vancouver FF, Tokyo Short Shorts FF, etc.). Known for his aesthetic mastery and sensitive filmmaking style, he has to his credit more than thirty awards and nominations (Short Film Corner Cannes, Promax / BDA Award) and a filmography of fifteen films that have traveled to a dozen different countries.
