"Tennis, Anyone...?" is a film about two fringe actors, Danny macklin and Gary Morgan, who lives unravel in their quest for Hollywood success. With nothing else to lose- they seek some form of meaning and redemption in their lives by participating in charity/celebrity tennis tournaments. Johnny Green (Jason Isaacs, The Patriot, harry Potter) is Danny's primary antagonist- a sit-com star who wastes no opportunity to try and ruin macklin's life and career.
DIRECTOR BIOGRAPHICAL NOTE:
This is Donal Logue's directorial debut. Logue is best known for his role as Dex in the Tao of Steve (for which he won the best actor prize at Sundance in 2000). A veteran of fifty movies and numeerous television series (Grounded for Life, ER) Logue turned his attention to directing and writing in this darkly comic look at the petty world of entertainment and the insincerity of celebrities playing tennis for charity.
