FONSI is an apparently privileged 12 year old boy. As we get to know his dysfunctional family, his world begins to crumble in a matter of hours. Due to a series of unexpected events, each character changes drastically, facing a crude reality.

Her first narrative feature film "CAPSULES", completed in January 2011, won BEST DRAMATIC FILM at the The Women's International Film & Arts Festival (WIFF) USA, the prize Gran Cine at the IX International Festival of Digital Cinema (DIFF) in Chile, and was official selection at the Chicago Latino Film Festival and at the Downtown Boca Film Festival. CAPSULES was selected for the Guadalajara Film Market at the Guadalajara Film Festival, 2011. As a director´s cut in November 2010, at the ÍCARO Central American Film Festival, CAPSULES won Best Editing and Best Art Direction with 8 nominations in Best: Direction, Production, Photography, Actor, Sound and Best Film. As a project, “Capsules” was the only Central American project chosen at the V Coproduction Encounter at the 24th Guadalajara Film Festival. Riedel is preparing KIKO, her second feature film, which was selected for the VI Producer´s Encounter at the Cartagena Film Festival 2011 and won a development grant from the CAACI and The Ibermedia Organization in 2009. Riedel is also Executive Producer of the film GASOLINA, winner of the HORIZONTES AWARD at the San Sebastian film festival in 2008. She won an AWARD for her screenplay DEADLY REFUGE at the Diane Thomas Awards in UCLA, L.A, CAL. Riedel has written, produced and directed documentaries and promotionals, winning prizes and mentions. She was born, and resides in Guatemala.
