Beneath is a psychological retelling of the classic story of Orpheus and Eurydice. After an affair, Angie pleads for her husband, Justin, to return. When Justin turns up in a coma Angie is driven by her guilt to discover the cause of his illness, save her husband and redeem herself.
DIRECTOR BIOGRAPHICAL NOTE:
Christopher Fernandez began his artistic as a painter and draftsman. Having found the limits of painting too elitist and restrictive a medium, he discovered that he could reach a wider audience with narrative film. It was a perfect match. In 2002 he received his undergraduate degree from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago. He spent the next few years gaining production experience by working in Washington D.C.’s local film/Television industry.
In 2008 Chris decided to further his artistic growth in the graduate program at Chapman University’s Dodge College. His award winning cycle film, Andre, has screened at festivals across the country and internationally.
