Ellen (Maria Mercedes) is in the middle of her life. At night, she sleeps very little. When she does she dreams about a boy she knew when she was fifteen. His name is Steven.
Ellen's puzzled dreams take her to her old neighbourhood, to Steven's house, where she meets his wonderful much younger brother Martin (Dai Paterson), who she looked after as a baby, and who is now a man. He is everything Ellen could wish for.
