DIRECTOR BIOGRAPHICAL NOTE:
I was born on April 12th, 1985 in a small town in Bavaria. During school my love for making movies grew bigger and bigger. After school I began working in the movie industry for quite some time.
Then Vienna was calling. I started to study (theatre-, film- and media studies) at the University of Vienna. Soon my first own movies followed (written and directed) and my work for austrian production companies grew. Since then I work as an assistant editor as well as an editor for cinema and TV.
During my studies I met some impassionate movie lovers who became my closest companions in making own movies. Without them my first feature film “22:43” would not exist.
In late 2008 I began writing on the script for my first feature film after I have read an urban legend about Rudolph Fentz. I was fascinated and spent every free minute in writing. In March 2009 shooting began – with almost no money, but dozens of motivated people – and 16 months later we finished the post production for “22:43” – a hard, long and exhausting journey I would not have walked without those great impassionate movie lovers.
At the moment alongside with editing for cinema and TV I’m working on some music videos for austrian bands and, of course, on the script for my second feature film.
