DIRECTOR BIOGRAPHICAL NOTE:
Mariana CondeThere are two things Mariana has always been fascinated by: the power of Image and the ability of Stories to transport us to different realities. If there is one art that combines both, it’s Cinema, so it is with no surprise that filmmaking has become her preferred means of creative expression.Chasing her passion, Mariana has managed to add some very interesting credits to a very diverse CV. From working as a Producer for FIKE (Evora's International Short Film Festival), to wardrobe director on a short film for RTP (O Regresso) to working as
a Production Assistant and Coordinator for Nike's 3 minute advert Write the Future (directed by Alejandro Gonzáles Iñarritu), Mariana has done it all.Directing, however, is Mariana's true passion. Realising the importance and impact of the actors' work in a film, Mariana has also dedicated herself to studying drama and performance. This has given her a better understanding of the acting process, which allows her to bring an extra physicality and strong emotional detail; even to projects that rely heavily on improvisation, such as Glance (short film made for the National Dance Company of Wales)and Daily Grind.
