DIRECTOR BIOGRAPHICAL NOTE:
Sonya Goddy grew up in Brooklyn, New York, writing plays and making super 8 films from the age of seven. She graduated Brown University in 2007 with a B.A. in Art-Semiotics with Honors and Literary Arts, and studied film and semiotics at the Sorbonne in Paris. Her work in Art-Semiotics at Brown earned her the Albert Arnold Bennett Award. She cites her greatest influences as Agnes Varda, Orson Welles, Michelangelo Antonioni, and Roman Polanski. She is currently in the MFA Directing program at Columbia University.
