Documentary tells the own story of the director and his mother,
also a story of a carnage which was organized in Ulucanlar Prison in 1999.
Director himself was seriously injured and 10 prisoners died in the operation.
Many years after releasing from prison, the director learns that
Ulucanlar Prison in which he stayed for four years is closed and
opened to the public as a cultural center. While visiting the prison,
a journey to his own experiences begins.
Shared stories of director and his mother,
who waited in front of Prison for days when his son was a prisoner,
meet again in the cold corridor of Ulucanlar Prison.
He and his mother start to travel into the past in Prison
which is an important point of country's political and cultural history.
DIRECTOR BIOGRAPHICAL NOTE:
He was born in 1977 in country Tunceli of Turkey.
He was arrested because of some legal magazines at the 1st class
and rejected by high school. After rejection, he went to Germany.
He lived in Germany a year and returned to Turkey in 1994. In 1995,
he was arrested in a meeting and punished with 20 years. But he was under 18
and punishment was decreased. He became a witness of Ulucanlar Prison
Carnage. He passed university exam in Prison and, started to study
at Department of Cinema and Television of Marmara
University. After graduating from university, he started to give children
cinema courses as a part of an art project whose parents collect paper from garbage
to earn their lives. He made two short films and one feature documentary film until now.
