The Ancient gods of the town of Bonnieux get together for one last match, one last stand off. Through launching balls of steal and mite we the audience, the spectators cheer, cry and wait in bolding anticipation for the day of the gods. A short study of the characters and people of the small rural French town of Bonnieux . A place where the elders wait for there day of the week , enveloping themselves in their ritual game of Petanke.
DIRECTOR BIOGRAPHICAL NOTE:
Joel Fendelman , originally from Miami Florida graduated from the Savannah College of Art and design in 2004. He first touched upon filmmaking through his exploration of trick rollerblading and in producing videos about it. His first debut was a short film called "The Box" which premiered at the Cannes film festival and later traveling the world through the festival circuit. Joel has produced a number of other short films and documentaries that have been nationally recognized. Day of the Gods is Joel’s fourth short film.
