STORY DESCRIPTION:

A daily phone call across several time zones between Angela and her lesbian daughter living with HIV/AIDS, reveals some disheartening news. Starring golden globe winner Susan Blakely and "NCIS" star Pauley Perrette.
DIRECTOR BIOGRAPHICAL NOTE:

Marc Saltarelli Writer/Director/Film EditorMarc Saltarelli is an award-winning writer, director and film editor living in Los Angeles. His new short film “To Comfort You” stars Pauley Perrette (“NCIS”) and golden globe winner Susan Blakely. Early honors for the film include a nomination for the Iris Short Film Prize in Cardiff, Wales and official selections at prestigious film festivals including the Boston Film Festival and Hollywood Film Festival.His short film WHERE WE BEGAN won a 2007 PlanetOut Short Movie Award and also tied for the PlanetOut Audience Choice award. The film has played on Logo’s “The Click List: Best in Short Film”, ranking #1 for season 3. His other shorts “Wingtips” and “Nourishment” have also aired on Logo and played in festivals worldwide. Marc co-produced, wrote, shot and edited the feature documentary film, FATHER G AND THE HOMEBOYS (Narrated by Martin Sheen), which profiles the lives of former East Los Angeles Latino gang members. His screenplay IN THE SHADOW, the best short script winner of the 2007 Latino Screenplay Competition, was inspired by these real-life stories and will ultimately become a dramatic feature.Recently, Marc edited multiple network television programs for Regent Entertainment and Here! Media. He has worked in post production for Wolf Films and numerous syndicated television programs. He began his career in the art departments of Cannon Films and has a film degree from Loyola Marymount University with additional training from USC School of Cinema.
