STORY DESCRIPTION:

In 1964, Eduardo Barreiros, a young mechanic who had forged an impressive empire wit his own hands, established an alliance with the global Chrysler Corporation to make his dream come true: to manufacture the mythical Dodge Dart and the SIMCA 1000.But something went wrong and six years later, Eduardo left the company.What happened? How could the man with the biggest entrepreneurial holding in Spain loose it all?
DIRECTOR BIOGRAPHICAL NOTE:

Marco Besas comes from Madrid, although he spent a large part of his life in New York. From a small age he showed a love for cinema and wanted to dedicate his life and soul to working in it. He studied cinematography in NYU and began to work as an unpaid trainee in Juan Piquer Simon´s films, Slugs, and Muerte Viscosa. Later he was part of the winning team at the Goyas for Best Special Effects, for the film La Grieta by Colin Arthur also directed by Piquer Simon. He continued his career working in Spain at the side of other established film makers such as Jaime de Armiñán, Pedro Almodóvar, Elías Querejeta, Jose Luis Borau and Enrique Gabriel, and in America with director Richard Lester. As director he has directed various documentaries and a dozen short films, those which stand out are Ley 4512/98, El Número and La Leyenda del Espantapájaros, the last being nominated for a Goya and preselected for an Academy Award at the Oscars in Hollywood, while also winning numerous awards in important festivals in Chicago, San Sebastian, Leeds and Fanstasporto. Apart from his dedication to cinema, he has also had a hand in literature, writing various books, the latest of which was a thorough guide on the legends and secrets of the capital of Spain, with the title Madrid Oculto (Hidden Madrid).
