DIRECTOR BIOGRAPHICAL NOTE:
Marco Bolognesi was born in Bologna in 1974.
In 1995 his first short film “Giustizia e Verità” (Justice and Truth) has been shown at the Venice Biennale and the following year, both “Giustizia e Verità” and “Il Partito del Silenzio”, have been presented at the Palazzo Delle Esposizioni in Rome by the Academy Award winning music composer Ennio Morricone.
For the following two years Marco Bolognesi works in Cinecittà alongside the directors Nanni Moretti and Daniele Luchetti.
In 2001, after graduating in Bologna at the renowned DAMS, he then wins the Artist in Residence Award at the ICI in London. He now lives in London.
He publishes Woodland in 2006 and Dark Star in 2008. ‘Black Hole’ represents Marco’s return to moving images.
