STORY DESCRIPTION:

After several years of wander, Abu Shukri and his family illegally set down in a Palestinian village, a former Israeli army camp. They live in autarky and the man who comes to pick up the coke they make, is their only contact with the world.Abu Shukri rules his tyrannical power over his family. They live in total poverty but the father doesn’t want to go back to their native village. This situation has lasted for years, since his elder daughter was supposed to dishonor him.Despite his father’s prescription, when he succeed in escaping, Shukri the son, runs to his native school. The two daughters and the mother work hard on the wood burning.The construction of a pipe-line to bring the water from a neighbor source will lead the family to his tragical destiny.
