STORY DESCRIPTION:

The future is about to collide with the past. Eric, a digital loving executive on a mansion hunting expedition finds himself crossing swords with his realtor, Max, an out of work toon rabbit. Like it or not, Max will make Eric see things through the eyes of an “Animated American.”
DIRECTOR BIOGRAPHICAL NOTE:

By Appointment Only is Joe Haidar’s debut as an independent film director. Joe was a feature animator at Walt Disney Studios for fourteen years and was the mastermind behind Disney’s Hercules. Joe has animated some of Disney’s most beloved characters, including the Genie (Robin Williams) in Aladdin and Roger Rabbit in Who Framed Roger Rabbit, which gave him the opportunity to work closely with academy award winner Richard Williams and Robert Zemekis. He worked on the highly acclaimed film Beauty and the Beast (the only animated feature ever to be nominated for Best Picture), as well as Mulan, Pocahontas, Atlantis, and Home on the Range. Joe continues to work in animation; he has storyboarded such films as Curios George, Enchanted and Alvin and the Chipmunks. Prior to Disney, he worked in London, England on feature films, rock videos and commercials. He is a graduate of Sheridan College in Toronto, Ontario with a degree in Animation.By Appointment Only will mark James Baker’s return to independent filmmaking. James is an alumnus of Disney Feature Animation, having brought to life such memorable characters as Hades (James Woods) in Hercules, Mushu (Eddie Murphy) in Mulan, Kuzco (David Spade) in The Emperor’s New Groove, as well as having worked on such films as Pocahontas, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Tarzan, Fantasia 2000, and Treasure Planet. In addition, he worked on Looney Tunes: Back in Action for Warner Bros., animating three of the world’s most recognizable cartoon characters – Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck and Marvin the Martian. James animated on the feature Open Season, Beowulf and I Am Legend for Sony and is currently working on Bolt for Disney. He has directed several short films and has worked on music videos and documentaries. He is a graduate of Rochester Institute of Technology with a B.S. in Film and Video.
