The alarm clock rings, Raúl opens his eyes, he knows everything that will happen that day; it’s always the same: getting up, arriving at the office, turning on the computer and putting up with his boss. Raúl is trapped and the only windows to the exterior are Ana and his imagination.
DIRECTOR BIOGRAPHICAL NOTE:
EDUARDO FRODDEN KELLY
Eduardo was born in 1976 in Concepción, Chile. Between 1996 and 1998 he studied architecture at Universidad Central de Chile, then he quit his studies and in 1999 he started studying film-making at Instituto Profesional ARCOS. In 2002 he was awarded a scholarship as best foreign student to study in the Arts School at Carnegie Mellon University, in Pittsburgh, USA. On his return to Chile and having finished his studies on film-making he worked in the production of various feature films and short films of different Chilean directors.
With “Ana”, Eduardo was nominated to the Pedro Sienna 2007 Award for Best Fiction Short Film, which he wrote and directed. This is an award given by the National Council for the Arts and Culture. He was the winner of three awards at the XIII International Chilean Festival of Short Films of Santiago in 2005: National Grand Prix, Best National Fiction Short Film, and Chile National Television Award for Best Script for the short film “Once in a While”, which he wrote and directed. In 2003 his short film “Experience” was awarded the Second Prize in the Professional Category in the First Contest of Experimental Art Videos at Animal Gallery.
Eduardo Frodden was a member of the jury at the XIV International Chilean Festival of Short Films of Santiago 2006.
