When a North Korean man is pushed to the edge by his daughter's senseless death, he risks his life to challenge the oppressive government, making his voice heard by vandalizing the propagandist billboards.
DIRECTOR BIOGRAPHICAL NOTE:
After graduating from Cornell University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Painting, John moved to New York City where he worked as the art director for the highly acclaimed independent feature film Habit. John returned to Washington D.C. to work as an editor for high-end industrial videos for clients such as The United States Postal Service and Fanny Mae. After moving to Los Angeles he continued to work steadily as a professional editor for reality television shows and industrial videos for clients such as Honda and Mitsubishi. In December 2006 John graduated from the prestigious Art Center College of Design with a Master of Fine Arts Degree in Film.
John’s award-winning 35mm short film, DEFACE, is currently on the festival circuit and tells the story of a North Korean man who rebels against the oppressive government by vandalizing their propaganda billboards.
John and his wife Viviane live in West Hollywood, CA where he is currently in development on his first feature film, Heart Murmur.
