Summer in the south of France. In a house near by a lake wedding preparations are underway.
While several generations live side by side, an enigmatic viewer observes what is on the surface
and reveals what may lay underneath.
DIRECTOR BIOGRAPHICAL NOTE:
Born in 1988, France Vannier studied design and art direction at ESAG in Paris and graduated in 2011.
After her degree, she moved to New York to work with Ramdane Touhami. In 2012, she co-founded Maison Nue, a Paris based art direction studio, providing a fresh yet sharp aesthetic to clients in fashion and art book publishing.
Realizing she had to push her artistic expression towards a rawer direction she left her design activities and started shooting her first video project in 2015, with Julius Lembcke.
While editing and to further her practice, she movedto Berlin where she attended Hito Steyerlâ€™s class at UniversitaÌˆt der Kunste.
Back in France, she finished her film, a poetic essay on the edge of reality and fiction, ultimately called DEUX.
