DIRECTOR BIOGRAPHICAL NOTE:
Ji Qiaowei is a Chinese director living in France. In 2009, her first short documentary â€œBetween Classesâ€ is selected in many festivals, just like â€œMy Grind on a Red Backgroundâ€ in 2012. She receives the Grand Prize of the International Festival of Scriptwriters (Valence, France) for her short story â€œThe Vowâ€ that sheâ€™s shot in 2013. The film is selected and awarded in several festivals worldwide. In 2016 Qiaowei directs short documentaries for the famous French humanitarian association Les Petits FrÃ¨res des Pauvres, including a VR film. Qiaowei is also a cinema teacher, a journalist for CCTV, an award-winning author of poetry, articles and short stories. She has published a book about European short films prefaced by the filmmaker Jia Zhangke and was the President of the Chinese Independent Film Festival in Paris until 2013.
