The thematic framework of the anthology feature film DEEP CUTS is VIOLENCE in all of its forms: as a destruction of intimacy, family, integrity, trust â€“ in explicit or implicit manner, mental, physical, emotional violence.
Family tensions are slowly eroding what should have been a carefree summer for ten-year old Jakov. A series of events ending in

DIRECTOR BIOGRAPHICAL NOTE:
DUBRAVKA TURIC is a director, editor and screenwriter. She graduated from the Academy of Dramatic Arts at Zagreb University with a degree in film and television editing.
She was awarded by Golden Lion - Orizzonti Award for Best Short Film, 72nd Venice International Film Festival for her short BELLADONNA.FILIP MOJZES was born 1989. After studying Philosophy at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences he enrolled at the Academy of dramatic arts, department of Film and television directing where he earned a BA degree. He was attending MA study at the Film factory Sarajevo, and Bela Tarr was his mentor on his thesis project.FILIP PERUZOVIC, Born in Zagreb, Croatia, 1986
