Sophie is a lonely and broke actress, who lives on her friendâ€™s couch, while waiting for her big break. Everything changes when she decides to bring a date to spend the night. Her friend, who is in love with her, gives her an ultimatum - if she wants to keep staying at his house, she has to sleep with him. Sophie must fight now to keep a roof over her head as well as her independence.
DIRECTOR BIOGRAPHICAL NOTE:
Shir Caspi is a female Israeli writer and director. MFA student at the Steve Tisch School of Film and Television â€“ Tel Aviv University, where she also teaches screenwriting for BA students. Barefoot is her debut film as a director. Besides Barefoot, Shir also wrote two other short films, which have been screened in several national and international film festivals. These days, Shir is developing her own original drama series at the United Studios of Israel.
