“Carpathian Karma†accompanies a Romanian citizen called Joshka more than 20 years from 1995 to 2016. In 1989, in the age of 17, he was attacked by a bear and critically injured. He survived with a destroyed face and was operated altogether 74 times in Romania, Hungarian and Germany. After the operations he turned back to his Carpathian village 1997 - back into a humble life in an impoverished region. A man between stigma and trauma and hope and resignation.
