A film about a Dutch-Flemish fishing-village. This once rich and prosperous village lost its prosperity and conviviality due to the declining of the once remunerative fishing-industry.
Using extracts of a video-logbook, made during the last voyage of the BR43, this retrogression becomes manifest.
Meanwhile it becomes obvious the fishing-industry is a complex World tied up and confined by all kinds of laws and rules.
While looking at the story of Jaap, skipper and owner of the BR43, it becomes a fact all fishingmen of Breskens will finally be one by one fishermen ashore.
