A journey through the streets of Barcelona, with the eyes of a group of young senegalese with nopapers or permits to stay, living in squats and in the streets, trying to survive to the temptation ofBabilonia, a life between perdition and spiritual resistance to decay.
DIRECTOR BIOGRAPHICAL NOTE:
Pierpaolo Verdecchi meets the photography in darkroom and in theaters while working as assistant for a photographer. He later began to work in the production of photographic reportages
about social themes. Some of these works have been published on newspapers, magazines about photo-journalism. For some years he worked as video operator in two tv formats for Rai3, a channel of Italy's national public broadcasting company. Through this work experience he develops an aversion towards the TV language and as a reaction he becomes interested in ducumentary cinema, first as operator, later as director. His works as documentary director are "Manipulite" a film about a tanker's wreck on the Spanish shore; "Maledette Frontiere" a mosaic made of the memories of three asylum seeker families. In 2013 he began to direct his first full-lenght film: "Babylonia mon Amour".
