He later began to work in the production of photographic reportages about social themes. Some of these works have been published on newspapers, magazines about photo-journalism. For some years he worked as video operator in two tv formats for Rai3, a channel of Italy's national public broadcasting company. Through this work experience he develops an aversion towards the TV language and as a reaction he becomes interested in ducumentary cinema, first as operator, later as director. His works as documentary director are "Manipulite" a film about a tanker's wreck on the Spanish shore; "Maledette Frontiere" a mosaic made of the memories of three asylum seeker families.
