STORY DESCRIPTION:

Somewhere towards the end of the Middle Ages, Antoine, a monk-copyist, learns that a machine has been invented in a distant city, which makes books... Troubled, he leaves his monastery to go and see. But encounter meets a world opens under his footsteps, and his journey takes him farther.
DIRECTOR BIOGRAPHICAL NOTE:

François Prodromides is a director, screenwriter, critic. He first worked with theatrical directors and then was a member of the editorial board of the Vertigo cinema magazine. As a screenwriter, he worked with Jean Breschand, Bojena Horackova, David Teboul, Pascale Bodet and Dominique Marchais. He directed in 2013 Letters of July, a documentary on the correspondence of detainees of the prison of Cherbourg, in 2014 Into The Light Hours, a film about the exhibition of the English artist Haroon Mirza at the Villa Savoye, And in 2017 Latest news from the World (35 ').
