DIRECTOR BIOGRAPHICAL NOTE:
Born and raised in rural Pennsylvania, Scott Balles toiled as a farmboy for 9 of his early years bailing hay, and nurturing plants to fruitation. When it came time for college, Scott left his rural surroundings for other rural environs to attend Edinboro University of Pennsylvania to study art and animation. To further his passions toward the arts, Scott abandoned the thriving small town of Edinboro for the slightly “thriving-er” city of Rome, Italy. While studying art history, drawing, and the Italian language, Scott travelled around Italy and Europe soaking in all that it offered. Today Scott lives in Pittsburgh, soaking in the unique English dialect known as “Pittsburghese”.
