Annarita Zambrano was born in Rome. She arrived in Paris in 2000 to finalise her doctorate on the aesthetics of cinema. She made 4 short films, which were selected in the most important international festival: "The Third Time" (ACID selection at the Cannes Film Festival, 2006), "Andante Mezzo Forte" (Berlin Festival, 2007), "Waxing Moon" (Venice International Film Festival, 2009) and "Three Hours", presented at the last Cannes Film Festival in the Directors' Fortnight and at the last International film festival of Rotterdam. Her first feature, "Fragmenta d'un siècle en fruite", is produced by Sensito Films.
