In the heart of the Himalayas, Sonam, an old nomad man, lives with his tribe in one of the most inhospitable and isolated regions of the planet, where a sudden change in the climate is drying out most rivers and turning several valleys into deserts. Unable to survive in a traditional way and witnessing the collapse of his own people, Sonam starts a desperate
quest to find answers that could change their future. A story of faith and sacrifice of a people who is already suffering the consequences of climate change and the current course of humanity.
In 2003, Marcos Negrão founded Enigma Filmes Brazil, a production company specialized in Documentary films and TV series. His goal was creating a film language that approximates the audience to social and environmental responsible issues, to the concern with the planet, its people and cultures. The Broken Moon is his first feature-lengths documentary. His recent projects include social and environmental issues docs researched and shot in India, Nepal, Tibet, Ethiopia and Brazil.
Since 2001, André Rangel is working as a film editor in the Brazilian feature film industry, advertisement, TV Series and several institutional films for partners
like Pró-Natura Institute, Vale do Rio Doce Foundation, Roberto Marinho Foundation, Petrobrás, Correios
and renown production companies and broadcasting like TV Globo and Canal Brasil.
