SYNOPSIS:

Franco loads up his car with cheese and leaves Sardinia: he wants to find his family, from which he feels abandoned. His wife and daughter, exasperated with his uncontrollable reliance on slot machines, left him and decided to reach Civitavecchia, trying to start a new life. This documentary is a journey into the darkness without filters and a complicated mechanism of gambling; it’s the story of a lonely man with his money-eating-machine obsession.

BIOGRAPHY:

Dario Albertini was born in 1974, north of Rome, shows a real aptitude for music, electronics will find its way, as well as a passion for photography, which soon becomes a profession. The step from photos to video is well thought out; he is an intense and complete artist, a man fascinated by the places disadvantaged, abandoned, from the periphery. His first short film "L’ abbandono non è lontano" in fact wants to denounce the state of degradation of a school in the Lazio coast.
