Pride and Mute gives colors to the festival on Tuesday 19th: LGBTQ, Giovanni Pastrone and Massimiliano Varrese among impetuous program

Filed up the first weekend and now is entering the culmination phase of the event, the schedule of the New Cinema Aquila opens for one of the most anticipated events of the edition: the Love & Pride Day. With a program entirely dedicated to filmmakers and LGBTQ-themed productions, the Fabrizi cinema hall will host Madame, Miserere and Tremors feature films in sequence: between Switzerland, Argentina and Guatemala, more international look than ever to the battles and everyday life of the marginalised categories of the West. To counterbalance, the screening of three medium-length films with presence of the authors in the hall, starting from 20:00. Between afternoon and evening, half of the Festival’s screens will remain dedicated to the celebration of gender contemporary cinematography.

In the Magnani hall, the exhibition continues in accordance with competition and non-fiction. On November 19th, we will start with the documentary Pastrone!, with the presence of director Lorenzo De Nicola in the theater. The film will picture figure, guiltily misunderstood now, to the mainstream public of Giovanni Pastrone: hero of the first Cinecittà, international master of the mute and author of the legendary Cabiria, the director will be duly celebrated by the homonymous documentary.

Followed in the early evening by the long competition of the day, Affittasi Vita will bring the new champion of Amici Celebrities to the show – Massimiliano Varrese assisted by the author Stefano Usardi.

The day will end with the space dedicated to the international shorts, with four films selected from Italy and Israel.
