In this dark fable rendered in golden, sun-kissed images, a young diver on the coast of the Adriatic in southern Italy finds another kind of natural wonder amidst the bounty of the sea: a beautiful woman. As his strange romantic obsession grows, he withdraws ever further into silence.
Grazia Tricarico graduated in Literature and Philosophy in Milan, specialising in History of Cinema. At the same time she worked as an editor for small film production companies. She graduated in Film Direction at Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia in Rome. She made several short films and documentaries: Michele nella terra, in competition at 30.Torino Film Festival, Bios best short at 33. Fantafestival; Mona Blonde, best short at Corto in Bra and special mention at 14. Festival del Cinema Europeo-Puglia Show and Persefone, previewed at 38.Toronto Film Festival, in competition at Clermont Ferrand FF and Atlanta Intl. FF 2015. Persefone is her graduation work.
