Martha is a foreign worker, employed by an old woman who refuses to die. Feeling trapped, Martha finds refuge inside her imaginary world. When she decides to escape, she discovers the price of freedom.
Ma’ayan Rypp studied Art Direction in NY and earned her BFA from Tel Aviv University. Her film "Al Martha Lauf" was shown at the Cannes Cinefondation in 2011, at the Jerusalem International Film Festival and won two awards at the Cyprus Film Festival. Rypp was awarded at the Rehovot Woman’s Film Festival in 2011. In addition to directing, Ma’ayan works as an Art Designer for film, theater and music productions. She is currently writing a feature film.
