He made his debut in 1977 as an assistant set designer of Dante Ferretti in the film "The Monster" by Luigi Zampa. Until today he has made about 60 films as a set designer. In 1987 he won the MiBAC "Quality Award for Scenography" for the film "The Courage to Speak". He is the artistic director of the "La Pellicola d'Oro" Prize from 2000, a recognition to the trades and artisans of the Italian Cinema. Direction: in 2009 - "19 Days of Maximum Security" with Luisa Ranieri; "A student named Alessandro" with Valentina Carnelutti (special Award Nastri d'Argento 2012) ; in 2014 "An Intellectual in Borgata" with Leo Gullotta, awarded at the Omovis Festival in Naples and at the L. Bizzarri International Festival; in 2018 the documentary "The Peripheries of Rome and the Democratic Movement" with R. Morassut, F. Rutelli, M. Rodano.
