Jasha lives in a world where everyone has their own voice-over. You get your voice-over the moment you turn thirteen. It is a person who follows you around everywhere and romanticizes your daily activities. These living alter egos with their catchy one-liners are designated by the government and all wear a recognizable uniform. They are intended to serve you and make you feel good. After all, everyone has the right to be happy. But Jasha doesnt want to be guided by her voice-over any more. What will happen if she tries to get rid of him? Is she able to hold her own against the fierce reactions to her new lifestyle?
With the film Happily Im Happy Victoria Warmerdam has graduated from The Utrecht School of the Arts in the Netherlands. During her studie she specialized in directing and screenwriting. Now she is working as a writer on two feature films in The Netherlands.
