A mysterious man is hiding out in an empty house. The man, who is wanted by the police, is caught up in a fantasy world brought on by extreme hunger and anxiety. What he faces in the end is the darkest side of himself in this austere, deceptive short with an unnerving undercurrent of menace.
Dahci Ma (1987), South Korean director, started filmmaking at the age of 14. She made “Nevertheless” (2005) when she was 18 and was invited to various international film festivals. Another short piece “The Mysteries of Nature” (2008) was awarded at the Lincoln Center in New York, making Ma the youngest director ever to receive the award. Her fifth short film “Ghost” was selected for Festival de Cannes in 2011.
