Sunday 17th of November is the day of “37 Seconds” the life of manga character riding a wheelchair

Sunday 17th of November at the RIFF – Rome Independent Film Festival at the Nuovo Cinema Aquila directed by Fabrizio Ferrari is the day of “37 Seconds” by the Japanese director Hikari. Winner of the Panorama section at the Berlinale 2019, the film deals with the issue of disability of a young manga character who lives in a wheelchair.

For the Italian documentaries comes the epic story told in “Moby Dick o il Teatro dei Venti” by Raffaele Manco. In 2015 the Teatro dei Venti in Modena decided to stage Herman Melville’s Moby Dick. The result will be an eight-ton theatrical machine that moves into a square with a hundred people including actors and figures.

During international feature films we will present “Lapu” by Colombian directors César Alejandro Jaimes and Juan Pablo Polanco presented at the Sundance Film Festival. Film deals with the theme of death, memory and dreams in an unprecedented way, investigating ancient Colombian traditions.

Do not miss the Masterclass by Stefano Ratchev, juror of the Festival, who will address the work of musical composition.
