SYNOPSIS:


Walter lives with his wife on a farm in Germany. They have been distant for many years. After a routine breakfast, Walter hears news of an asteroid hurtling towards Earth on the tractor radio. The destruction of mankind is due to begin within 16 hours. Uncertain of how to tell his wife, he decides to conceal the news from her. Following his lies, Walter contemplates his forgotten love for his wife and becomes determined to give her the best possible last day on Earth.

BIOGRAPHY:

Philipp Kässbohrer, born in 1983 in Biberach an der Riß, Germany, has been studying film at the Academy of Media Arts in Cologne since 2007. Together with Matthias Schulz, who was born in Aachen in 1984, he founded the creative collective "bildundtonfabrik", where they work on short films, music videos, commercials and TV shows.
