Opening Night Film @ 2019 RIFF Awards “Nancy” – Christina’s Chloe directorial debut with Andrea Riseborough, Ann Dowd and Steve Buscemi.

To start with, significant triumph in the lively american independent cinema, (culminating at the Screenplay Award at the last Independent Spirit Awards), Christina Chloe’s “Nancy” arrives in Italy as a special opening, out of competition. In collaboration with Mariposa Cinematografica – one of the most important associations of these years providing distribution of foreign independent filmographies in Italy, the debut of young filmmaker, will have its national premiere at RIFF.

American documentary filmmaker already honoured for a series of works dedicated to North Korea and published during 2017, Chloe has jumped from success of her first shorts to the debut in the dramedy fiction feature film she wrote and produced. The film will tell a young woman’s (Andrea Riseborough) story, which, convinced about beeing kidnapped as a child, will establish a pathological relationship with the couple she suspects to be her real family. In the cast, famous faces from Hollywood cinema such as John Leguizamo, Ann Dowd and Steve Buscemi. The film will be opening the show of the RIFF 2019 and preparing the spectators for the marathon of the official competition: meeting in the evening of friday, 15th of November.
