Cinema and Music: the independent net!

The join venture between music and independent cinema goes on during this 8th RIFF Edition!

The “ Italian Independent Videoclip Award” winners (PIVI), hosted by MEI (Faenza's Independent Labels Meeting), will be shown during the Riff, thanks to the partnership between the two festivals.
 During the meeting Videocoop will also be presented, an alternative diffusion circuit for all that audiovisual material that is unable to find space and visibility in the official festivals and mainstreams.

Videocoop comes out the MEI's organization (MEI is the Independent Labels Meeting that's organized every year in November in Faenza), supported by Audiocoop, the association made by the new italian indies, fallowing the growing PIVI's success (Italian Independent Videoclip Award), that takes place every year during the MEI, that with beyond 250 videoclips and all its important partnerships, has certainly become the most important festival in the music-video field.
The Videocoop association was created to become an alternative circuit, free and independent, in which different kinds of audiovisual materials could be presented: music videos, docs, short and long indies, art-videos,  cross-contamination between expressive and artistic views. It also tries to protect the video-makers and productions and to give them more visibility through multimedia distribution circuit.

The join venture between RIFF and PIVI will go on with the presentation, during the next MEI edition, of the Riff Short films winners, and with the presence of a Riff member in the PIVI's jury.
