Story description:
Mario e Righetto, due cugini, sono alla ricerca della nonna ultraottantenne fuggita da una casa di cura dopo averne svaligiato la cassa. Dopo anni di silenzio un bel giorno Mario piomba nel palazzo occupato dal cugino, per coinvolgerlo nella ricerca della nonna. La ricerca è sostenuta da motivazioni differenti: Mario ha la necessità di tenere nascosta l’esistenza della nonna ladra alla futura moglie e alla famiglia di lei. Righetto, invece, spera che il bottino rubato finirà nelle sue tasche. Durante questa ricerca i due incontreranno una serie di personaggi inaspettati che appartengono al burrascoso passato di nonna Italia. Questa girandola di avvenimenti rinsalderà il legame tra i due anche e soprattutto in conseguenza di una sconvolgente scoperta...

Mario and Righetto, two cousins, are in search of the over-eighty-year-old granny run away from a nursing home after robbing the cash. After years of silence one fine day Mario pops in a building occupied by his cousin, to involve him in the search of his grandmother. The search is carried on for different reasons: Mario needs to keep the existence of the thief granny secret from his future wife and her family. Righetto, however, hopes that the stolen plunder will end up in his pockets. During this quest the two will meet with a series of unsuspectable people belonging to the gusty past of granny Italia. This kaleidoscopic twirl of events will strengthen the bond between the two first and foremost in consequence of an upsetting revelation…

Regista, Sceneggiatore. Nato nel 1965, ha frequentato la scuola di sceneggiatura di Tonino Guerra a San Marino e lo stage di regia e sceneggiatura di Nikita Michailkov. Inizia la sua attività nel campo cinematografico nel 1984 come assistente alla regia di noti registi: Lina Wertmüller, Sergio Corbucci, Paolo and Vittorio Taviani. Nel 1991 fonda la società di produzione 'Notorius'. Dal 1994 dirige diversi cortometraggi, documentari e numerosi videoclip musicali per artisti italiani emergenti e affermati. Nel 2001 realizza il backstage del film di Marco Bellocchio “L'Ora di religione". Nel 2003 esordisce alla regia del suo primo lungometraggio, “Radio West”.

He started out in the world of cinema in 1984 as director assistant of well-known directors such as: Lina Wertmüller, Sergio Corbucci, Paolo and Vittorio Taviani. In 1991 he sets up the 'Notorius' production company. In 1994 he directs several short, documentaries and a number of music clip for emerging and famous Italian artists. In 2001 he shots the backstage of Marco Bellocchio “L’ora di religione”. In 2003 he makes his debut at film directing of his first feature film, “Radio West”.
