SYNOPSIS:
In Post-War Japan, Tsuyako lives a demanding life as a factory worker, obedient wife and loving mother. An old lover, Yoshie, visits her and reignites their passion. Yoshie begs Tsuyako to leave with her to live the life of which they dreamt. Tsuyako must choose between her duties and the promise of freedom, while struggling to maintain the traditions of culture and respect of her family.
BIOGRAPHY:
Mitsuyo Miyazaki (Japan) began performing at an early age. After University, she moved to Los Angeles, where she is an actress and photographer. She received scholarships for Directing and Cinematography as graduate student at USC. She also won several online film and advertisement competitions. Her accolades for “Tsuyako” include Best Woman Director at the DGA Student Film Awards.
