SYNOPSIS:
Marco, a Brazilian who left his country to live in Italy many years ago, is a successful businessman, married to Julia. One day, he receives an unexpected phone call from Julia’s brother Ayrton, who informs him that their father died. Marco is forced to return to Brazil and to face the life he left when he moved to Rome. What seemed to be a short trip, continues after the discovery of the Manuela’s existence, his half-sister, born by an extra-marital affair of their father, and who lives in a psychiatric clinic. Manuela, like Marco, is a victim of their father’s bad decisions. Marco soon identifies himself with his sister. This change in Marco’s life upsets his whole way of life, causing profound change, bringing him to review his relationship with their brothers, and making him find a family that had been lost.

BIOGRAPHY:
André Ristum grew up in Rome. In the early 90's, he began working as assistant director with Bernardo Bertolucci in 'Stealing Beauty'. In 1996, he moved to Brazil where he worked in various films of the "Renaissance of Brazilian Cinema," shooing five short films and a documentary, selected in many international festivals (including Venice for 'From a Jirges Glauber' in 2005). In 2006, he filmed '14 Bis', a fiction short film for the centennial celebration of the first airplane flight in history, a challenge accomplished in Paris by the Brazilian Alberto Santos Dumont. In 2009, he directed a television series for Channel Infinity of Turner, and in 2010 he shot his first feature film 'Meu Pais ".
