SYNOPSIS:
The journey of a jobless man, searching for a job through nine Italian cities, wearing a sandwich board that reads “unemployed for rent”.
An uncommon inquiry on the Italian job market from the point of view of the streets. A bold, personal challenge: a sandwich-man asking everybody he meets for a job. The people react in many ways, sometimes comic, sometimes bitter; the film hints at a deeper understanding of unemployment issues and the modern Italian job market.
BIOGRAPHY:
Luca Merloni has worked as a director for RAI, Mediaset and Sky. He has made short films and documentaries,
all selected for various international festivals.
